Mac Allen was born and raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains just under Kentucky and above Tennessee. Mac often says that he was raised by a community, with close family and friends always around. He graduated from Powell Valley High School in 2008 before continuing to college at Virginia Tech.
After college, Mac found his way down to Oxford, Mississippi, for law school at The University of Mississippi School of Law. At Ole Miss, Mac served as Executive Editor of the Mississippi Sports Law Review – Vol. 4. Along the way, Mac also worked for a semester in the Ole Miss Athletics Office of Compliance.
Shortly after his admission to the Tennessee Bar, Mac joined the Rocky McElhaney Law Firm where he has quickly become an invaluable member of the of the attorney team fighting for the firm’s clients case by case and serving as the firm’s dedicated intake specialist. Mac is on the front lines answering tough questions for all prospective clients who call the firm each and every day looking for help.

Mac is refreshingly humble, grounded and steeped in his strong country roots, yet he has always had his eye on a big move to the heart of Music City. Now, he lives right downtown and enjoys being in close proximity to all of the sights, sounds, cold beers, good oysters and pop-up BBQ joints that a vibrant, young city-dweller could ever want.
