Congratulations, Alexander Millette, on Receiving the Max McElhaney Memorial Education Scholarship for 2023!

Rocky McElhaney Law Firm proudly announces that Alexander Millette is this year’s recipient of the Max McElhaney Memorial Education Scholarship! We extend our sincere congratulations to this young man, who we know is going to go far in life. “We were very taken with Alexander’s essay,” said Rocky McElhaney. “His words about the Gold Standard of Love were among the best we’ve read in years and we’re looking forward to seeing what he does in the future.” About Alexander Millette Alexander Millette has had a long journey to college, but has never given up. With the unwavering support of his grandmother, who he calls “the gold standard of love,” he is studying gender studies and history, hoping to teach LGBTQ+ history in the future. In his own words: I want to use my knowledge and passion to make the world equal for all regardless of gender or orientation. I want to promote diversity at all levels of education and stand up for those whose experiences leave them mute. LGBT+, women, disabled, those who aren’t white, everyone should have the opportunity to achieve their highest goals and dreams. I will fight to change our world for the betterment of all. We can’t think of anything better than that. Alexander does all this with the help of his grandmother, his love of whom comes bursting through the page. He says of her, “Oma is not only my standard for love, but she is also the standard of a person I one day hope to be. Selfless, caring, supportive, kind, my Oma is the greatest person I could ever hope to know.” While he attends school, Alexander pays the bills by driving for Lyft and spends time with his roommates and friends. He hopes to use this scholarship to take an additional class to speed up his undergraduate education and begin working toward his Master’s education, as well as begin writing a paper for future publication. Everyone here at Rocky McElhaney Law Firm is so excited to see what the future holds for Alexander (and his Oma!). We are proud of his progress so far and can’t wait to see what he does next.
